Chittagong War Cemetery

The Second World War Cemetery (Chittagong War Cemetery or Ran Samadhikshetra) is located on Badsha Mia Road in Mehdi Bagh Gol Pahar area of ​​Chittagong. Allied soldiers killed in the Azad Hind Fauz attack in World War II are buried here. Chittagong War Cemetery , located in the folds of the hills, will create an atmosphere of mourning in your mind.

As soon as you pass the main gate of the Chittagong War Cemetery, you can see an altar marked with a cross in the middle of the burial ground. After the altar is a small prayer room. There is a history and map of the period during World War II. The cemetery covers an area of ​​about 7 acres and contains the graves of 755 soldiers. There are about 40 species of trees and hundreds of indigenous and foreign flowering plants in War Cemetery. Every year on November 11, the High Commissioners and representatives of Commonwealth countries pay their respects at the Chittagong War Cemetery. The cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth Graves Commission.

Entry to Chittagong War Cemetery Chittagong War Cemetery is open to visitors 7 days a week. Open daily from 7 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM. Also, during rainy season and on the days when medicines are distributed in the cemetery, war cemetery is not allowed to enter.
