Dhanmondi Lake ( Dhanmondi Lake ) is like a handful of nature's pulse, located in the city bustle of the capital Dhaka . Due to its large size and social and political reasons, different parts of the lake have different names. For example – Medinova Chattwar, Zia Chattwar, Jahasbari Point, Shooting Point, Dwip Chattwar, Bachelor Point, Lakepar Gol Chattwar, Bangabandhu Chattwar, Sheikh Russell Chattwar, Battala etc.

And there is no fee or payment to enter Dhanmondi Lake. However, visitors can stay in this lake from 5 am to 10 pm.

Dhanmondi Lake was created in 1956 as part of the plan to build a planned housing system. This Dhanmondi lake is spread up to about 16 percent of the Dhanmondi residential area spread over an area of ​​240.74 hectares. Dhanmondi Lake is about 3 km long and extends from Road No. 2 to Dhanmondi Road No. 27.

You can easily reach Dhanmondi Lake by hiring a rickshaw from anywhere in the capital Dhaka.
