Hadis Park Khulna

Shahid Hadis Park (Shahid Hadis Park) is a historical park located on Babukhan Road in the divisional city of Khulna, which was established as 'Khulna Municipal Park' in 1884 but was later named after Shahid Sheikh Hadisur Rahman Babur in the 21st February 1969 uprising. A Shaheed Minar has been constructed in the Shaheed Hadis Park in imitation of the central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka. Hadis Park has a huge lake. Shaheed minar and water fountain have been built on the lake. Also, Khulna city can be seen at a glance from the observation tower built in Shaheed Hadis Park.

After the establishment of Khulna Municipality in 1884, the municipal authorities built 'Khulna Municipal Park' thinking about the entertainment of the citizens. Later on June 16, 1925, Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of non-violent movement, gave a speech in this park and the park was renamed as 'Gandhi Park' in his honour. After the partition of the country on August 14, 1947, the name of the park was again changed to 'Jinnah Park' during the reception of Muslim League leaders. On February 21, 1969, Sheikh Hadisur Rahman Babu was martyred by the police during a rally against the Pakistani dictator near this park. On February 22, after the prayer of Shaheed Hadith, the people present at the end of the funeral named the park as Shaheed Hadith Park.

From Dhaka's Syedabad, Mohakhali and Gabtali bus terminals, you can board various quality buses to reach Khulna. Coming to Khulna city, you can easily come to Hadis Park by rickshaw or battery operated autorickshaw.

Two trains named Sundarban and Chitra Express from Dhaka depart for Khulna at 8:15 am and 7:30 pm respectively. Sundarban Express is on Wednesday and Chitra Express train on Sundays. The ticket price per person for riding the trains is Shobhan Chair 500 and Snigdha Tk 955-966.

PS Mahsud or Ostrich launch departs from Dhaka to Khulna only on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM during the week.
