Satgram Zamindar Bari Narayanganj

The historical Satgram Zamindar Bari built during the British period is located in Satgram of Araihajar Upazila of Narayanganj District. From this zamindar house, the zamindars managed the governance of the area. The landlords of Satgram were very tyrannical. The subjects were brutally tortured if they failed to pay the rent of the lands they allotted to the subjects in exchange for their rent. And so the stories of the tyrannical zamindar are intertwined in every building of the Satgram zamindar house.

Surrounded by lush greenery, this zamindar house has a pond with a ghat and a beautiful flower garden. Today, this zamindar house stands as a witness of the times, surrounded by natural beauty.

Satgram zamindar house can be reached by rickshaw ride or on foot from Purinda bus stand near Dhaka-Sylhet highway.
